Installing Luna’s Insight Java client
(version 5.6) software
- Go to:
http://www.lunaimaging.com/support/Restricted/updates.html#112006
- This will
open the Luna Imaging's Update Page. You may
have to scroll up to locate Insight v5.6(3)
- Click the
Download link to the right of Insight 5.6(3).
- The Insight
5.6(3) Downloads window opens.
- Locate
Insight, third from top, and click on Win (for PCs), Mac OS X (for
Macs).
- The File
Download box opens.
- Click on Save.
- The Save As box
opens.
- Save
installInsight.exe to the Desktop on your computer.
- Double click on
installInsight.exe icon and follow installation instructions. Click
on Next to move through installation steps.
- Click on
Advanced installation.
- When asked
“Where would you like to create product icon?” check “In a new Program
Group.”

IMPORTANT!!!
You will be asked to specify the URL/address
for your organization’s Insight User Manager.
- Enter this User
Manager Address: luna.nysid.net
- Use Default
location for processing of media files.
- You are not
upgrading.
- After
installation is complete, close all open screens.

You may now delete the
installInsight.exe and Register Insight icons on your desktop.
(Registering Insight is optional.)

To open Insight v5.6
follow this path:

►start (bottom left corner of
screen)

►All Programs
-
►Insight 5.6
-
Log into Insight using your NYSID
I.D. and Password.
