Introduction to the NYSID Library
|
The library, focusing on art, design, the decorative arts, architecture, and
practice, also houses 100 current periodical subscriptions, numerous indexes, and a professional-level collection of current trade catalogs and product literature. The Internet and other electronic resources are available. The school participates in a cooperative arrangement with New York University and Parsons School of Design, which provides students and faculty reciprocal access to the 2.6 million volumes of NYU's Bobst Library and the 43,000-volume Gimbel Design Library at Parsons. The school is also a member of the Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO), a consortium of over 300 regional libraries. |
